You are right. One year at the Veterans Parade in New York City my Vehicle Club thought it would be a great idea to throw candy to the kids on the sidewalks. You know just like the GI's did in WWII. Well one block into the line of march we were told by the NYC Police to stop. It had become a safety issue, so I said okay and handed my bag of candy to the officer. Give it to your guys I told him and drove away.
