Bed cross members and bed wood

Ok, Im test fitting the bed wood today.

In Todd's pictures of bed cross members, the second crossmember, the c channel, second one back, the opening faces the cab correct?? It almost has to in order to be able to get the nuts on the bolts. Todd's pics show it facing the cab and facing the tailgate.

And the wood. No bolts go thru the actual wood itself, correct? Only thing holding it is the metal bed strips….

Ill post some pics of the test fit here in a little bit.
