It's amazing how bad that can be up there. My last truck from up in the rust belt did that. Luckily I was driving to the store and it failed when I went to leave, not while driving.

Interesting part is I had the fuel line on my first car go due to rust, and the line looked brand new from the engine back to the rear axle, and from the rear axle to the tank it looked like a car that had lived in PA for most of it's life. Strangest part is it was the same line, there was no union or flex hose in it that would isolate one end from the other.

Now I live in southern VA and enjoy how easy mechanics down here have it. Went to replace the tie rod ends on my 93 Dakota and they came right apart like they day they were put on. 249,000 miles and just light surface rust. Crazy, the rest of the car may wear out but they won't rust away on you. Which is good news for the Power Wagon!
