It's Nylon and a bushing of any type is superior to a bearing for off road use.
A bearing will rapidly beat the races, a bushing contacts the whole pin.
Why have spring loaded bushings? To prevent damage to the bushings. Why nylon bushings? To protect the upper pins.
That's my theory and I'm sticking to it!
