What I've found is the cast turns to mush but does not burn with the oxygen like steel does. Perhaps too much graphite in it. In any case, if a plasma torch wouldn't set the building on fire, an acetylene torch definitely would. No way to get around the back side of it either, which rules out abrasive cut-off wheels too.
