Hi Jerry, common place for cracks, even originals where lead filled. Often caused by cab mounts too tight or otherwise wrong. As vehicle moves/twists the pressure causes the cracks. Probably need to go through the mounts and reset the alignment. Easy way to check is to mark the steering column, then release the steering column clamp and see if it moves. I wouldn't do a fibreglass repair, it will just crack as well.
