OK, so on the last forum I asked for help with fuel pump priming. I tried a few things today, but still couldn't get her going. My truck had a '54 chevy fuel pump on it and I replaced it with a stock 251 pump from Vintage.
I hooked it up the same way as the old pump, but that was my mistake. The inlet and outlet are reversed between the two pumps.
So, I know what to do and will be fabricating new fuel lines to hook up clean to the new pump.
I can fabricate something that will work but would like to do it the original setup. Can anyone provide or refer me to a photo of original fuel pump plumbing on a 251 motor?
I've searched the archives and my manuals but can find anything.
