The unique aspect of a VRY 4202A regulator is that the ID tag says "Chrysler Corporation" on it, whereas the VRY4201A just says Auto Lite corp. on it. They are Identical regulators which can be interchanged.
Ironic that Chrysler Corp didn't install the 40 amp VRY4203 series regulators in the WDX models after the war. As Kaegi said below, they are over built and bullet proof regulators. In my opinion, way better than the VRP regulators found on civilian dodge trucks of the 40's era. Would have been nice to have a bullet proof regulator installed in a bullet proof truck.
