If you haven't check your TC mount's rubber insulators lately, you should. Over time the insulators fatigue and allow the TC to sage towards the rear. When this happens, the TC begins pulling on the parking brake rod causing the brake band to tighten and rub against the drum resulting in drag. You can check this by sliding a 1/16 piece of material between the rod and top of the TC's case. If it doesn't easily slip through, time to replace the insulators. Mine are so far gone that the brake rod lays on top of the TC and the cam pin holes are about 1/4 inch out of alignment with the rod's pin hole. My day is planned.
