about ten years ago a PW came up for sale that had a trailer with belt driven table saw and a bunch of other carpentry tools driven by the belt drive. looked like the whole thing was set up to go build houses in remote areas. I would consider it efficient as you would probably not use much fuel. I measured my consumption per hour while logging for 8 hours or so in about 12 to 24 inches of mud, skidding the biggest alders I have seen around after winching them up 200 feet from a ravine and I only used 1.5 gallons an hour. I would guess running belt drive tools you would use even less.
