That's an interesting rig. I can't figure out what the setup with the big chain sprockets does. I'd like to be able to look at the truck in person. A photo of the tail end of the boom might have helped. I assume it has a fitting to attach the tail to the plate with a hole in it.
My guess: A rig to pull water wells.
