It bothers most of us. During WWI & WWII we perfected metallurgy and in the post war years we seem to have lost that, but Japan has gotten better and better at it. I recently replaced my UJ behind the transmission with one I thought was made in China, at least that was on the box. When I opened the box and look at the UJ, made in Japan. I installed it and it's the smoothest UJ yet. The last one, not so hot, was from NAPA.
