In California, auxiliary turn signal lights are required to be located to the rear of the drivers seat in it's most rearward location. I suspect the same is true for any similar light, such as a hazard light like yours.

While you are located in Canada, this may also be true there. You might consider this if there is some sort of safety inspection required for registration. Safety inspectors often key in on added lights.
