Coincidental that this happened today. Well I will tell the truth. But I could say that I thought I had witnessed a phenomenon this morning as I was driving down a gravel road at about 35 to 40 mph. A small 10 to 12" green snake (with white belly) -- "garter snake" fell from the sky onto the hood of my vehicle. He slithered up the driver's side windshield and fell off to the left just before reaching the top of the glass.
It reminded me of that 1973 song by Johnny Bush " Green Snakes on the Ceiling" And thankfully I have never found myself in that frame of mind. If I knew more about computers I would post the link to that song.
And now as Paul Harvey would say -- For the rest of the story. A crow on the road "lined with trees" flew up with the snake in it's mouth. It of course flew the same direction that I was traveling, but was having trouble gaining elevation. As it was only a few feet in front and a few feet over the vehicle, I think it panicked and dropped the snake.
