Went over to my cabin Friday and saw that sometime in the past 5 days some tweaker stole all my batteries -- 3 out of the cabin solar power system, and 2 almost new sealed 6TLs out of the wrecker. Cable clamps on the 6TLs must have been tight because he cut the cables. Also stole a full 250' roll of copper wire, of course. The tweakers seem to only have enough brainpower left to recognize the value of two things -- copper and batteries. Checked the nearest scrap buys and neither of them had my batteries. I haven't put the chain up on my road for years, since it's a hassle and I like to let anybody who wants to ride up my road if they're hunting or whatever. Not any more. Probably have to keep the chain up all the time now, and get a game camera too, plus $1000 worth of replacement batteries.
Seriously, I don't know why we outlaw these drugs. I say not only legalize the stuff, but give the tweakers all they want for free. The sooner they kill themselves, the better off we'll all be. At this point they're not even really human anyway. They steal from their friends. They steal from their own mothers. They steal anything that isn't welded down and half the stuff that is. They are as valuable to society as smallpox and tapeworms. I wish they would all just hurry up and die.
