When you end up paying 50 percent more for tires, you begin to think, "Is it really worth the little increase in weight carrying capacity and stability which I never use anyway?".
Lots of disadvantages to a dually on snow and ice and in tight urban situations, let alone changing an inside flat on a dually.
The main purpose for most dually's is so people can play big rig trucker. If you tow heavy equipment O.K., I can see it. If most of the use is the little lady going shopping, you can probably skip the extra two wheels and just buy a bigger belt buckle.
