Of the six 5.5 x 16 wheels that were on my '60 W300, there ended up being FIVE different offsets, some single type, some deep dual type. I identified three different locking ring types on the truck as well. I took my new set of 9.00 x 16 Superlugs to a large East Coast chain industrial/ truck tire shop (McCarthy Tire) to have them mounted and learned that one of the three types of lock ring will work just fine with the oversized tires on the 5.5 wheel while the others will NOT.
SO, I am in need of four Budd 5.5 x 16 wheels and lock rings. I think that I have located 3 but I still need one more. I am looking for a Budd wheel with 44850 stamped on it. It is the six lug / six vent hole type. They have a 1-7/16" front offset and a 7-3/4" rear offset. The lock ring I have to have is the split type stamped with CY R5516 TS on it. Can anyone help?
