No, they all had flatheads here, the imported ones used the 230 and the (few) Australian ones use the English based 250 - they were based on the KEW prefix engines, which went to a different prefix about mid '58 (on the engine number). These generally used 12v Lucas electrics typical for the time. I'm using a modified Lucas distributor in my truck simply for parts availability. The Hemi six didn't appear until about '70, but the 265 would be a great engine to swap in, easy to get a couple hundred horses.
