I was lucky enough to visit Australia.

There's plenty of desolate open country near where I live. But, it's nothing compared to Australia. You can drive for a hundred miles and never see a structure of any kind. Talk about being stuck along side the highway 1,500 miles from home. There, you can be stuck 1,500 miles away from anywhere of significance.
