I'd squirt an ounce or or so of clean oil into the cylinders, let it sit for awhile, then spin the engine over without plugs to clear the cylinders of excess oil. This will coat the cylinder walls and give the oil pump a chance to prime.
Put a towel or heavy cloth over the spark plug holes to catch the oil spraying out when you clear the cylinders.
I'd change the filter first. Make sure you fill the housing with oil before starting.
