Science marches on. The seals on newer master cylinders are designed with springs that hold the seal tight so air doesn't leak into the system if there is a little negative pressure.

Since your master cylinder was designed for disks, it may not have seals designed to resist negative pressure. I don't know.

Any time you use something for other than its listed application, you are on your own. But, I don't think you will have a problem, or at least, it will be the least of your problems.

If you are going to do it, I would try it without residual pressure valves. If you find the pedal going soft after awhile, add the residual valves.

As, I've said before, my opinions are worth what you pay for them and are of entertainment value only.
