I think turn signals were still a dealer installed option in '54. I don't think 54's had dual tail lights either. I'm not sure. But, turn signals are a necessity now. However, they should be level and not pointing downward, especially for this amount.
Withering amounts of criticism is one of the reasons I keep my old truck original. I can just say, it's original un-restored patina. However, I'm going to install turn signals.
