Yes, the 354 truck hemi top end is different.
There is no "exhaust cross over" in the castings, so the carb and intake are heated with water. There is a TALL water passage from the heads to the intake between the center intake ports. This puts the thermostat housing on the intake manifold instead of the "car" type of water manifold across the front of the heads. The heads Look Like an early (51-53) car head (or a Desoto head), but the center water passage to the intake is taller and narrower. I don't know if the early car intake would seal that water port up without modification if a swap was to be done. The exhaust valve guide area is also larger, as most of these engines used larger stemmed sodium cooled valves. On the plus side, they all have the large exhaust ports, AND the big outlet 4-bolt exhaust manifolds.
