It's hard to say for sure on some of these trucks as a tailgate is an easy thing to swap. I can say for sure that most of the 1970 trucks I've seen had stamped gates and most of the 1973 trucks had un stamped gates with the Dodge sticker. I've never looked to see if there is a stated change in the parts books. I should check that.
