I think these past two weeks has been crazy for vehicle recalls. I sort of understand the reason why the same vehicle has to change each model year, but in the long run is it worth it for the manufacture and the buyers??
Look at our Power Wagons, Sweptlines,72-93 with parts that interchange within the life of the series. That makes sourcing parts much easier as the same "widget" will fit 10-20 years of a vehicle...
I think the changing vehicles yearly is why the auto industry on a whole is hurting. Just seems like a unnecessary expense with fear that if you don't make a change the buyer will go to another manufacture.
