The trans shift tower hole is unmodified stock location, I just added an extra slot (PTO slot) to the pan for the direct O.D. shifter and fabricated a bracket to mount to the trans. Used a NP205 shifter and changed the stick to half of a NP420 stick. The link below will take you threw some of the fab on the truck, although I haven't up dated it in a while.
