This formula is for DC Circuits, AC is different.

Not true. Look at the formula. It is however true for wattage, not resistance. Wattage is a rating for power.

Wattage= voltage x current

Identical items of different voltage ratings often have the same or close to the same wattage ratings. A 12volt light bulb would use half the current of a 6volt bulb of equivalent wattage.
