The closed knuckle system is difficult to turn unless you're using a heavy rear vehicle and stout tow bar. If you use freewheeling hubs front and rear, speed is no problem. I've towed my truck with a VW Jetta with no problem, but I have to be in the truck to turn the front wheels and help in breaking. Without me assisting, the truck spins the rear of the car around when you attempt to turn the car as the truck will want to go straight, the car is too light to turn it.
