No Pipe. I used .375" plate and had the steel yard break it into a "U" Shape with a flat bottom instead of round like a "U". This was welded to another piece of .375 plate to make the mount. The stick outfrom the firewall depends on the length of the snout of the hydroboost Plus the push rod length.
The nut that retains the hydroboost is a special nut...as you see. I have a friend who has that socket and loans it to me whenever I need it. However you tighten that nut, it must be tight.
