I imagine it would work Steve...but in 35 years since I've been here it has never turned & so who really knows. I mean it's a pretty simple big cool machine. I'll take a pic of it later...it's quite something.
Pretty sad seeing some of this great old stuff getting melted down to make some of the junk we make today.
I saved a big belt driven power hammer & offsetting machine from our blacksmith shop & sent them over to my pal Rennato...he'll put them to use. Even those were a big job to move.
It's so sad to see. These rooms...it's like going back in time to the 1800's. The electric motor that drove the belt for the hammer...it's like a work of art...scrap. Still runs like the day it was new.
Here's a few pics for you...it's as if the blacksmith just dropped his tools about 80 years ago & left...
