grinding the seats is not difficult. this is not a nascar engine. just touch them up with the grinder. too check for full contact take a marking pen and color the valve face, drop valve in, and spin it back and forth with some downward pressure with your fingers about 120 degrees, remove valve and see contact pattern in the ink. hopefully contact pattern is about in the middle of the valve face and contacting all the way around.
