There may be a difference between CAR vs. Truck bells because of the starter, but the truck manual bells were interchangeable until at least 67. The \6 also could use these bells. If you look at one of these "universal" bells they have about 18 holes in them and weight about 400 lbs!!
PS the starter would also give you grief with the flywheel.
