It is listed as such on the engine tag also.The fella did say the scout would start pulling better when it broke traction and the eng. rpms got above idle and after adding large agressive offroad tires it could not easily break traction for higher rpms and seemed to stall at low rpms,so I guess a manual tranny would allow you to keep the rpms up for the torque needed or maybe just install a stall-converter in the 727. Did they ever put a turbo on these in-line nissan diesels? Also, what type bellhousing and tranny did the manual version use ?
