Here's the deal. Works nice.
Take the air chisel and with the sharp point, gently poke two holes at 180 degrees in the seal. Tap these 5/16 NC. Don't worry, the seal is 3/4" thick and the chips stay in the seal.

Get some 5/16 bolts that are what,, 3" long?Now you can use your two bolt puller and with the center screw of the puller, just push against the pinion end. The seal comes right out. Otherwise, you'll be chiseling that seal out for an hour and rubbing your sore neck.
