Whatever you decide to do, be sure that, if possible, you get a "matched" pair of axles, gear ratios, lug pattern and the number of lugs etc., changed very frequently, so check carefully. All 8 lug Dodges and gm's are the same bolt centers. BUT Dodge changed 5 lugs from 4½" centers to 5½" centers some time in the mid seventies, still 5 lugs BUT you'll have a heck of a time trying to figure out why your wheels won't fit!! Check axle tags to make sure that you have matched sets of gear ratios, on some Dodges (½ tons and some ¾ tons) the front is 1 count off, such as 4:10 front, 4:11 rear, that is normal, however 5:38 front, 3:23 rear IS NOT!!
