Depends how far you want to take it. I doubt that the axles will need blasting once you get the grease off and get them clean. I guess that depends on where you live and how much corrosion there is on the axles.
I'm not anywhere obsessive enough to want to take the axles off and have them blasted. Be careful about taking so much stuff off that putting everything back together begins to look hopeless.
I know guys do it. Good for them. But, I just don't think these trucks are worth enough to strip them down completely and re-do them. I have better things to do even if I were mentally equipped to do it.
