It's akin to watching someone being executed, as far as I'm concerned (and I firmly believe that death of ANY kind isn't a spectator sport). I've spent my life building, repairing, and engineering things to NOT grenade or mechanically fail. For the government to deliberately destroy a perfectly good running engine in an automobile in an effort to "stimulate the economy and clean up the air"... it was a failure on a massive scale and a slap in the face to guys like us, all over a money grab. I know there are a lot of YouTube videos of them pouring Sodium Silicate into the engines and destroying them, but I'd throw up if I was forced to watch it happen. Had I worked at a dealership during the program, I would have quit- I just couldn't have stomached it.
