after viewing your album and seeing the oil pressure gauge you mentioned it's clear to me that engine was used as a stationary engine to power something like I mentioned.
It can be made to work in the truck by removing that equipment and setting it up like it would have been for the truck.
Also carb has an automatic choke set-up that's missing a few pieces.
