No possible way two high lift jacks can fail ;) He's safer than the guy I saw who used two bottle jacks on top of two cinder blocks while he pulled the differential with the wheels off.
A guy who rented a place from me said he'd just been on an EMT call where the car fell on a guy and squashed him flat. The victim was a young guy with wife and kids.
Every time I get under a car on my hoist, I get the willies. And, I have never heard of a car hoist failing, just cars falling off because they weren't balanced on the lift.
