I'm not sure if the 251 is the same as the 230 in this regard, but on the 230, there is a freeze plug on the backside of the engine. It's difficult (more like impossible, if I remember correctly) to get to it without removing or at least loosening the bellhousing. I think there is only one, but might be two of them on the back.
On the 230, there is also a freeze plug on the front of the engine. If I remember correctly, I think it can only be accessed by removing the timing chain and the big plate behind it.
