I'm not at home so I can't get the exact dimensions for you. But, the thickness will depend to some extent on what material you use. I had a roll of some sort of closed cell neoprene that was adhesive on one side, weatherstrip I guess.
It is about 1/8" or 3/16" thick and about 1 1/4" wide. The reproduction stuff is actually not flat, but is woven material with raised edges or welts running along the edges.
