Actually I think it's getting worse in northern cal. Maybe LA is better, but I'm not sure. The really clean cars we drive can't make up for the crazy number of drivers we have. I remember being able to see the hills in the distance much better in the 70s and 80s; no it's not my vision, least not yet. Sorry I wasn't around for the 60s so I don't have that as a reference. I must say I really appreciate the EPA regs every time my neighbor fires up her old ford truck and station wagon. Just like being a kid again with all that unburned gas blowing out the back. My old Dodge? well that's different ;)
