or as you say just use the offset as the outer but with the wheels you have you would need a spcer to do that to a stock wheel and then you are way out there which may be ok
i like turning the drum and putting the offset inside
my 47 were each moved an 1 3/8 and came off an oilfield parts truck i bought and already had the drum ears turned
