Best one ever, but most labor intensive too.

"This better than original (because it is 304 stainless steel) fits and looks like the stamped steel originals. Made of 23 pieces of 18 gauge, TIG welded together. See the pics for examples taken during progress. Spherical corners are pressed to concave shape, then a hat shaped spinning is done on the metal lathe. Hat shape is cut into 90 ° sections- the brim of the hat will become the flange at the corners. Then those corners are welded to a cross shaped tank body. All that is done twice to form front and back halves. Next the holes for fittings are drilled and pressed to form a lip around the holes. 1/4 NPT female bungs are then welded in. Then the two halves welded together along the edges using a "peanut weld". The the cap tube, and oversize cap seat get soldered in. The whole assembly is pressure tested to 20 psi. before the mount brackets get welded on. Finally the whole thing is abrasive blasted- they are raw stainless steel, ready for your prime and paint. Or leave them the dull gray stainless.

All in all, they take about 10 labor hours to build each one. So much labor that I feel that this is best reproduction anybody is going to hand make- unless somebody invests in stamping dies. "

"see other items" will bring up a fuel tank too.
