Wow! Something totally different. This looks like it was a Detroit Built truck that spent some time in Wisconsin and was later entered into the Los Angeles/west coast sales bank.

This truck was built in Detroit probably around the end of March or beginning of April, 1949. I base this assumption on other serial number records.

The 90-78202 is in the form of a dealer code xx-12345 where xx represents the regional code and 12345 is the dealer's number. The geographic region codes don't run up to 90. Those higher codes are for outside vendor locations, government depots, or other Chrysler locations. Since the card says "RECONDITION IF NECESSARY" I wonder if it was used at a truck show? It wouldn't necessarily get any miles put on it but would still have people crawling in and out of it and may need reconditioning. Does the truck have a special bed or equipment on it? What is in Hartford, Wisconsin?

This California style card is dated 5-31 and is lacking the codes and style of a normal California truck. It looks like the info was copied from a In Transit certificate to enter a record in the sales bank.

The order number appears to be 11089B. The B meaning the order was revised twice since the original.

The only options listed are the Deluxe Oil Filter and the Heavy Duty Air Cleaner.

I've tried to make out the numbers as best as I could. Its possible some may be wrong.
