Alex, you've been going hot and heavy on your project for a long time. Don't be afraid to take a step back for a little bit. You are not behind, except for your (possibly unrealistic) self-imposed time line. As others have said, a restoration is a journey, not a destination. Take time to savor it.
And if there's one thing to remember, it's that you are *ONLY* 30. You have a whole lot of life left. Don't let an arbitrary number get you down.
As for the beer, I gave it up for hard cider and feel much better now. Turned out I was allergic to wheat, which is in almost all beer.
