Although they are difficult to see in this picture, I have almost identical ends on the plow on my W300. They really work well for scooping and holding the snow. Sometimes it builds up 10' or more in front of the plow. I can see where this would work well for the stones you describe. The one thing I think you would need, if you ever decide to build such an implement, (and you seem like a guy who could), is a flat piece of 3/8" or 1/2" steel between the bottom of the two end pieces, so make sort of a big scoop. I have noticed the few times I have tried to move small dirt piles with my plow that it tends to roll up and over small stones. Otherwise, I think you are on to something. Shipping would be practically nothing, right? :)
