"Normally" in insurance talk, declared value or stated value policies are what they will give you if it is totalled or stolen. I know for a fact that Haggerty is that way. It is a very good point to have that in writing and signed so there is no gray areas if something were ever to happen.

Haggerty used to require an approved appraiser come out and look at your vehicle. You had to have all the bills and they did a walk around taking pictures and such. Now you just send them some pics. If they question it, you then send either an itemized spread sheet of the bills and labor or they have a one page form to fill out.

If it still is in question, they then send out an appraiser. I just went through this so the process is fresh in my mind.
