Having had the steering box apart, it doesn't look like it would be too difficult to shorten it a couple inches - I might have to do that yet, with original seats I'm a bit pushed for room at 6'2" and 200 pounds I'm either a bit squashed getting under the wheel, or when I'm in there the wheel is a bit too close. I'm thinking the column could be a bit shorter and the wheel might need to be further away. Maybe a change of seat would fix the problem easier.
