Greg, I finally put a two post lift in my barn. I always figured I didn't have enough height for one until I got a 9 ton drive over for cheap. I,ve got about 10' to the floor joists but have steel carrying beams at 9'. I was surprised how high I can lift vehicles. My pick-ups I can walk under but a van or suv I can't lift as high because of the beams. I just roll under with an office chair with wheels. It's handy when I need different tools, I just wheel right over to my rollcab then back and forth easy ha ha. I got my lift for $400, but I see them new for $1500 more for a heavy one. Try one you'll wonder why you never had one before now.
